	Year 1 Activity 1 – Numbers And Words Card Pairs Cost: £0.50 Add To Basket
Knowing the words for numbers up to 20 is one of the first important maths skills in Year 1. Similar to other card pair games, they have to turn over and match the words and numbers. One set is colour coded to help them learn before trying the harder set. Worksheets can be uninspiring for 5 and 6 year olds! This is a fun way to capture their interest and help them learn foundation skills. This activity matches questions 7 and 8 in Year 1 Mathematics Test 1, designed to assess the Number And Place Value section of the national curriculum. If you haven’t tried it yet, have a go!
